Sunday Morning LIGHT (Learning In God’s House Together) is our Sunday school program. Children age 3 through 7th graders are welcome to register. Classes begin Sunday September 13, 2009. We have 5 classes available for this group: pre-school (3-5 year olds), Kindergarten, 1st-2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade, and 5th-7th grade. Each Sunday morning students will join their families in the service of worship at 10:30am. Then after the children’s time, students will be dismissed to go to their Sunday LIGHT class while parents stay and worship. For our pre-school class we will be using a program called “FaithWeaver Friends” children will “learn-it, play-it, and make-it” they will learn important Bible stories, use games and pretend play situations to reinforce the Bible point, and they will create a take home project so they will remember and apply the Bible point. Children in K-4th grade will be using “Hands On Bible”, this program is designed to fully engage students into the Bible lessons. Students will use all their senses to explore the stories and apply their meaning to life. For our 5th-7th grade class we will be using a program called “Grapple”, it is designed to help the pre-teen students as they start to grapple with real life issues and it gives them the tools they need to make good decisions and follow Jesus.
We have a wonderful volunteer team heading up Sunday Morning LIGHT this year.
